This bolita (what we call a feminine bolo tie, made for the ladies) features a rare, high grade turquoise mined in Arizona called "polychrome turquoise." This mean the turquoise features both blue and green hues. This bolo tie was handcrafted by Frontera's lapidary artist Clifford Field who cut and polished the gemstone, and the metalwork was done by our apprentice Lexi graves.
The bolo tie hangs on a long choker length cord, but can be set on a traditional bolo length cord if you prefer. Let us know your preference in the notes at checkout. See reference photos to help you make a decision.

About polychrome turquoise | Polychrome turquoise means that it contains both green and blue. Turquoise is a sacred stone to many and through millennia. According to Native American tribes in the southwest, the blue stones have a ‘male energy’ that evokes Father Sky, while the green ones have ‘female energy’ and Mother Earth. Regardless of the hue, it is an incredible stone for peace and balance.
