The Bolo Tie Comeback

Bolo Ties have been a staple piece of jewelry in the Southwest for many decades. Historically they were reserved for rugged, burley cowboys in the desert Southwest, but nowadays they are being worn by men and women alike across the United States and beyond. I think it is safe to say these tokens of empowerment and strength are making a COMEBACK!

Our bolo ties are handcrafted, high quality, and are some of the best in the market! They are made using precious metals (mostly sterling silver) and semiprecious gemstones such as turquoise, variscite, jasper and more! Most of our bolo ties are unisex meaning they're made for ALL people men, women and nonbinary folks.

SO, WHAT IS A BOLO YOU ASK & WHO WEARS THEM?

A bolo tie is a type of necktie consisting of a piece of cord or braided leather with decorative metal tips and secured with an ornamental clasp or slide.

Frontera specialize in creating unique and high quality bolo ties for men, women, and non binary folks that are emblems of empowerment and authenticity. All bolos that we create are crafted by hand, with precious metals, responsibly sourced stones and genuine leather.

Like I stated, historically they were "reserved" for western cowboys but these days anyone and everyone can wear them. You can be a middle aged babe and rock them, a fella from the east coast, or whoever because guess what...you make your own rules.

I personally love them because of their unique and empowering qualities. I'm a 5' gal from South Louisiana and rocking my bull bolo (in the feature image) feels like a protective shield and talisman of strength, of resilience. So I say, if you're drawn to one, try it on and see how it feels. Beware you may become a bolo babe for life!
